Surfacing and block of all surfaces is how a part is prepared for the plating process. Filing and re-engraving is used to sharpen and redefine all details. The copper plating process and lead repair is how pits and low spots are filled. There is a lot of blocking and sanding required before any plating process, especially the first plating process, can begin. All pieces are surfaced and back ground several times to ensure concours quality, correct fit, and sharp details.
